Kim Irene Brooks, age 55, of Princeton, MN passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Kim was born on February 7, 1961 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Henry and Madeline (Darwin) Erickson. She grew up in Princeton and attended Princeton schools before her family moved to Glenwood, MN where she graduated high school in the class of 1979. She then attended Anoka Technical College for medical transcription. On May 29, 1983 she was united in marriage to Jon Brooks in Princeton. Kim worked for the Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis doing medical transcription from home. Kim was involved with the Jaycees in Princeton and loved camping, nature and wildlife. Most of all, her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life.

She is survived by her husband Jon; children, Timothy (Sarah) Brooks, Christopher (Ashley) Brooks and Elizabeth Brooks; grandchildren, Madison and Carter Brooks and Liam and Paysen Brooks; her parents Henry and Madeline Erickson; siblings, Debra (Steve) Elvine, Henry (Patricia) Erickson and Jim (Sandy) Erickson; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
