ST. CLOUD-- 70 degrees and sunny, the weather couldn't have been any nicer for the first day of this year's CentraCare Health Earth Day Run.

Hundreds of kids flooded St. Cloud State University's Husky Stadium this (Friday) afternoon as they prepared for the BLEND 1K Kids Run.

Everyone that crossed the finish line received a medal and water bottle.

Apples, bananas and plenty of water were passed out after the race. It was a consensus that both an apple and a banana were needed after the exhausting run because one just was not enough.

The Earth Day Run continues tomorrow (Saturday) with the Scheels Half Marathon beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the campus of St. Cloud State University.
