Kids Fighting Hunger Looking For Volunteers to Package 150,000 Meals For Local Area [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD - The organization Kids Fighting Hunger is looking for volunteers for their upcoming "Pack the Mac" event.

Volunteers will package 150,000 vitamin fortified macaroni and cheese meals for local Central Minnesota Food Pantries.

Executive Director of Kids Fighting Hunger, Pam Beard says all the food packaged at the event will go to local food shelves.

There's over 7,500 people estimated in Stearns County who experience food insecurity. Beard adds that there are also many children in Central Minnesota on the free or reduced lunch program.

The event runs on Saturday, May 17th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the St. Cloud Rivers Edge Convention Center. Volunteers can sign up for the event here.
