Kids Enjoy Fishing Contest for Family Fun Fest [PHOTOS]

WAITE PARK -- Despite the cold and gloomy weather, kids broke out their rods, and tackle boxes at Rock Island Park Pond to join in the kids fishing contest.

The contest was the start of Waite Parks Family Fun Fest that began today and will go until June 15th.

The event was free to all children ages 2-12, with prizes awarded to ones who caught the biggest fish.
