Kathleen Kay (Lombard) Scherbing was born September 6, 1951 in St. Cloud, Minnesota the daughter of Wallace and Laura (Scherer) Lombard. She graduated from Milaca High School in 1969. On June 25, 1983, she married Charles Scherbing in Duelm. The couple lived in the Foley area all of their married life.

Kathleen worked at Old Country Buffet in St. Cloud. In 2014, she moved to Kathleen, Georgia. Kathleen was a breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, knitting and sewing. She was a member of the Foley American Legion Auxiliary, St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a crocheting group in Georgia called 'one stitch at a time.' Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.

She is survived by her daughters; Amanda (Kevin) Burdick of Kathleen, GA and Joney (Brandon) Vaughn of International Falls; step-children: Donny (Barb) Scherbing of Monticello, Jan (LeRoy) Neuman of Foley, Mike (Carole) Scherbing of Becker, Sherry Lueck of Princeton and Glen (Bonnie) Scherbing of Foley; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Marcie Jepson of Milaca, Dorothy Shore of Foley, Dianne Jones of Columbia, MO, Ladonna Lamn of Monticello, Gary Lombard of Foley, Ronny Lombard of Rockford, John Lombard of AZ and Robert Lombard of Clear Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; infant sister, Ethel Ann; siblings: Darlene Krueger, Jim Lombard, Billy Lombard, Don Lombard and Richard Lombard.
