Kathy was born September 2, 1932 in St. Cloud to Frank and Marcella (Schill) Laudenbach. She grew up in St. Augusta on the family farm with a large family. Kathy married Donald Lommel on September 7, 1955 at St. Mary’s Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta. The couple raised six children in St. Cloud. Kathy took pride in being a homemaker, enjoying baking, cooking and caring for her family while always managing to keep her home spotless. Kathy enjoyed attending to her beautiful flowers and often turned annuals into perennials. She loved being outdoors, especially the many years spent with her family at the cabin on Big Watab Lake. Kathy is a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where she was a greeter and very involved in her volunteer work; participating in the funeral choir, working funeral luncheons, a member of the Christian Women, and many other church activities. She put everyone’s needs before her own. She was very caring, generous, and a woman of great faith. She treasured time spent with her family, she will be dearly missed.
