Kathleen E. Ellenbecker, 91, St. Cloud

November 6, 1923 - October 21, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30PM Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Church of St. Paul in St. Cloud for Kathleen Ellenbecker who died Wednesday at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids. The Rev. LeRoy Scheierl will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Monday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud and 1 hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Kathleen was born in St. Cloud to William & Rose (Kaufman) Hollern. She graduated from Tech High School and attended the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph. She married John N. Ellenbecker on October 18, 1944 in Tonopah, NV. The couple lived in Duluth until returning to St. Cloud in 1961. She was a member of The Church of St. Paul in St. Cloud for many years and was active in the St. Stephen Mission Group. She was an avid golfer and long time member of the St. Cloud Country Club.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Marlene) of Concord, NH; William (Helen) of Rice; Stephen (Jolene) of Sauk Rapids; Mary (Charles) Johnson of Kimball; John (Kathryn) of St. Cloud; Thomas (Rhonda) of St. Joseph; Robert (Colette) of Collegeville; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, brother, Harold Hollern and sister, Sybil Hollern.
