MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Jurors are being picked in Hennepin County to hear a civil case filed by a man who claims he was injured by a Sartell police officer.

Brian Manion has accused the officer of starting a chase that ended with a crash and injuries to the plaintiff. The suit against Mark Bromenschenkel says he tried to serve a notice of intent to forfeit Manion's vehicle while employed as a Sartell police officer. Bromenschenkel has since resigned and is currently a Stearns County commissioner.

Manion's attorney, Krister Johnson says the focus of the trial will likely be the definition of a chase and whether Bromenschenkel was chasing Manion right before the crash. Bromenschenkel contends that what he was doing didn't constitute a chase.

Johnson expects the trial to last all week.
