Judy Ann Ziemer, 68, Rice

August 9, 1946 - November 15, 2014

A gathering of friends and family celebrating the life of Judy Ann Ziemer will be on Wednesday November 19, 2014 from 4-8PM at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids. Judy passed away on Saturday at the Country Manor Care Center in Sartell at age 68.

Judy was born in Jefferson, Iowa to Kenneth & Helen (Vancleef) Gustin. She married Otto D. “Sonny” Ziemer on August 29, 1964 in Minneapolis. Judy was a caring daycare provider for 28 years and is still in touch with many of her kids. She also worked as a nursing assistant at St. Benedict’s Community in St. Cloud for 8 years. Judy enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, baking, crafting and her animals, especially her horses, dogs and cats. She cared for her husband for many years and enjoyed cooking for her family, she was an excellent cook. Judy was a very strong woman and was the unspoken hero of the family.

Survivors include her children, Daniel D. (Gail) of St. Joseph; Jodi Burton of Foley; Dina (Joe) Zwilling of Sauk Rapids; sister, Kathy Arnes of Plymouth; grandchildren, Derek, Josh, Beth, Alex, Breann, and great grandson, Romeo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sonny on August 2, 2014, brother, Kenneth “Butch” and Darrel Gustin.
