Memorial services celebrating the life of Judith J. “Judy” Regan, 78 of Waite Park will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. Judy passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at home with her husband by her side. Pastor Janine Olson will officiate. Inurnment will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Judy was born on January 20, 1936 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Herman and Myrtle (Pearson) Pliefke. She graduated from Washington High School in St. Paul and attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She married her high school sweetheart, Bruce Regan on September 20, 1957 at North Emmanuel Lutheran Church in St. Paul. They moved to Rochester in 1981, where Judy owned a kitchen store “The Pantry” for five years. Judy’s faith has always been important to her and she has been an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran since moving to Waite Park in 1995. She enjoyed being a part of Miriam’s Circle.

Judy’s first love was her family, especially her children. She was a very talented seamstress and loved making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook, sharing her well-loved cakes and bars with her church family. She also enjoyed camping and traveling and some of her favorite spots were the North Shore and Washington D.C. Judy loved spending time with Bruce watching birds, tending her flowers and observing nature. Judy will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, deep faith and sense of humor.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bruce of Waite Park; children, Peter (Monica) of Lake City, Scott (Christina) of Rochester, Nancy (Phil) of Mankato; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Marcia Pliefke of St. Paul; sister-in-law, Gail (Tom) Birrenbach of St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mark in 1999; daughter-in-law, Darla Regan; and sister, Laurel Elwood.

Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or CentraCare Health Foundation.
