Judge Steps Down from the Bench [VIDEO]

Judge Thomas Knapp Retires [Photo by: Alex Svejkovsky, WJON News][/caption]St. Cloud- The man behind the bench is calling it quits. Stearns County District Court Judge Thomas Knapp is retiring after 18 years as a district court judge.

A presentation at the Stearns County Courthouse was made Friday afternoon to thank Judge Knapp for his many years of service.

"It was the right job for me" Knapp said of his career, " I really enjoyed it."

He went on to thank all the many people he worked with along the way, and will miss them all as he heads to retirement.

Judge Knapp's official retirement will go into effect June third.
