Jon L. Gibbons, Becker, 56

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church in Becker for Jon L. Gibbons, 56 of Becker who passed away at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis on Friday. Rev. Dick Wehrs will officiate. Friends and relatives may visit from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the church in Becker.

Jon was born March 19, 1958 in Minneapolis to Russell and Beverly (Anderson) Gibbons. He grew up in the Gull Lake area and attended Central Lakes College in Brainerd following high school graduation. Jon married Robin Olson on November 24, 1984 in Becker. He was an Engineer for Sunny Fresh in Monticello for over 26 years. Jon loved the great outdoors; golfing every Thursday evening after work, fishing, hunting, and meticulously caring for his lawn and garden. He attended all of his children’s sporting events and never missed a game. Jon enjoyed watching the Twins and Vikings. Family meant the world to Jon; he was a great dad and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Robin Gibbons of Becker; children, Zach (Jessica Low) of Zimmerman, Chris (Amy Johnson) of Becker, Jake of St. Cloud, Lindsey of Becker; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Clara, Skyler, Elijah, Lance; mother, Beverly of Pequot Lakes; siblings, Linda (Larry) Horn of Moorpark, CA, Jerry (Diane) of Pequot Lakes, Rodger of Breezy Point, Sherman of Breezy Point, Rusty of Pequot Lakes, Sam (Amanda Schwarzkopf) of Brainerd. Jon was preceded in death by his father, Russell Gibbons and sister, Barb Wasson.
