John M. Wegner, 67, St. Cloud

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud for John M. Wegner, age 67, of St. Cloud. John passed away Saturday, May 13 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Timothy Gapinski will officiate. Burial will take place in the St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery in Collegeville.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be held at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church.

John was born August 9, 1949 in Gaylord, MN to John and Theresa (Sickler) Wegner. He married Joan Campbell on June 20, 1970 in Watertown, MN. He graduated from St. John’s University and later Hamlin University with a Law Degree. He practiced law in both St. Cloud and Minneapolis. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

John is survived by his wife Joan, children John of Burnsville and Josh (Shannon) of Minneapolis, and his grandson Miles.

John is preceded in death by his parents, infant grandson Grant Steven, and brother and sister-in-law Bill and Mary Wegner.

Due to allergies, memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
