John J. Hoffke Jr., 82, Cold Spring

April 6, 1932 - January 20, 2015

Gathering of friends and relatives will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

John was born in Clyde, ND to John J. Sr. and Dorothy (Cameron) Hoffke. He married Lois Fraase in 1957 in Laporte MN. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1952 during the Korean War. John worked as a long-haul truck driver for over 40 years. He thoroughly enjoyed working for Halvorson Farm’s during his final years of driving. In retirement he enjoyed having his grandsons over for breakfast and dinners.

Survivors include his children, Mark (Brenda) Hoffke, Ann (Phil) Anderson; grandchildren, Aaron Hoffke, Mathew Kramer, and Karin Jacobs; great-granddaughter, Avalon Jacobs; brother, Vern Hoffke.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Chris Hoffke, and great-granddaughter, Jayde Jacobs.
