John J. Dingmann, 75, St. Cloud

March 27, 1939 - September 23, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Cloud for John J. Dingmann who died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Augusta. Rev. Jerry Mischke will officiate and entombment will be at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud. Friends and relatives may call two hours prior to the services Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

John was born March 27, 1939 to Marcus and Grace (Murray) Dingmann of Clear Lake. John graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School in 1957, and then joined the U.S. Navy. He married Janice Angen-Becker on June 13, 1969. John retired from Dezurik’s in 2000 from his 40 years career as a Field Service Engineer. He was an avid horseman who loved to camp and take trail rides with friends and family. John was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where he served as an usher, St. Cloud East Side VFW Post #4847 and the Sherburne County Mounted Patrol. He also never missed his opportunity to have morning coffee with his good friends at the Copper Lantern in St. Cloud each morning.

Survivors include his wife, Janice of St. Cloud; son, Gary (Tammy) of Hudson, WI; granddaughters, Allison, Megan, and Taylor; granddaughters, Abigail and Bailey, children of David who died in 2010; brother, Bob (Mary Jo) of Becker; and sister, Helen Funk of Little Falls. John was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Brian, David, and Steven; brother, Tom; and an infant sister.
