Jogger Falls to Death in Red Wing

RED WING (AP) - Authorities say a jogger fell to his death from a Mississippi River bluff in Red Wing.

Police say the man's body was found Wednesday night at the bottom of a 200-foot-high rock wall on the north side of Barn Bluff. Witnesses tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead after first responders arrived.

Witnesses told police the man had been jogging on the trail at the top of the bluff shortly beforehand and had asked for directions. Officials have warned trail users to be careful on wet days and in early spring.
