Jim Knoblach Named Chair Of House ‘Ways And Means’ Committee
ST. CLOUD - Representative-elect Jim Knoblach of St. Cloud will be chairing a powerful committee in the next legislative session. Knoblach says he's been named the chair of the House Ways and Means committee.
The House Ways and Means committee is responsible for creating the state budget in the House, and for setting how much money each of the finance committees can spend.
Knoblach previously chaired the House Ways and Means committee from 2003 through 2006. He did not run for re-election in 2006. He returns to the State Capitol after defeating incumbent Zach Dorholt earlier this month.
The 2015 Legislative session starts on Tuesday, January 6th.
