WAITE PARK -- One local jewelry store is preparing to move into a bigger building this fall.

J.F. Kruse Jewelers is announcing they have purchased 4,500 square feet of land from Shopko in Waite Park and plan to open a new store.

The company decided to upgrade after receiving customer feedback.

The new facility will cost about $850,000.

Co-owner, Melissa Kelley says they are excited about a new opportunity to serve the community.

Kelley says they aim to provide a better shopping experience for customers.

J. F. Kruse applied for a city funding program, but was unable to meet the deadline. Instead, the project will be funded through a private effort.

Kelley says they are currently looking to hire additional staff.

The proposed building is twice the size of their current location.
