Jerome A “Jerry” Koshiol, 73, St. Cloud

Services celebrating the life of Jerome A. “Jerry” Koshiol, age 73 of St. Cloud, will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 4 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Jerry passed away Saturday at the St. Cloud Hospital. There will be a visitation after 10:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Jerry was born July 10, 1943 in St. Cloud to Jerome J. and Lorraine (Oster) Koshiol. He graduated from St. John’s University. Jerry worked as an EMT for Murphy-Granite City Ambulance before teaching in the Big Lake school district. Later he worked for the St. Cloud Police Department and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Department, retiring in 2006. He also served on the St. Cloud School Board. He is a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Moose Lodge.

Jerry is survived by his children, Krista (Mike) Brinkman, Sartell; Dan (Martha) Koshiol, Lakeville and Steven (Sarah) Koshiol, Bloomington. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; Tyler Brinkman, Emily Brinkman, Olivia Brinkman, Nelson Koshiol , Emma Koshiol and Kate Koshiol. He is survived by his brother, Robert (Brenda) Koshiol, Farmington; his sister, Mary Koshiol, St. Cloud and his girlfriend, Joyce Schlangen.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
