Jeffrey F. Deters, 56, Royalton

July 5, 1958 - May 6, 2015

Jeffrey Frederick Deters, age 56, Royalton, MN, entered into the Lord’s kingdom on May 6, 2015, ending a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his wife and sons.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Prairie, MN on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:30 AM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the church on Saturday. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Dad was a devoted Christian and always put his faith and family first. His passions all involved being outdoors. Dad enjoyed planting maple trees in the spring, and fishing and hunting in the fall. He always encouraged everyone to love thy neighbor and to pray often.

Dad is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Brenda Deters of Royalton, MN; two sons, Adam (Doni) Deters of Big Lake, MN; Brian Deters of Royalton, MN; father, Alex (Carol) Deters of St. Cloud, MN; brothers, Randy (Cindy) Deters of St. Cloud, MN; Rodney (Rose) Deters of Rice, MN; Gregory (Kellie) Deters of Comanche, TX; granddaughter, Madelyn and a grandson to be born in June.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley (Kuhlmann) Deters.

Dad will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.
