Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Jeanette M. Reber, age 86, of St. Joseph who passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at her home in St. Joseph. Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Church in St. Joseph. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph.

Jeanette was born on August 31, 1929 in St. Joseph, Minnesota to Peter and Clara (Meyer) Martini. She married Carl Reber on November 22, 1950 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Jeanette was a homemaker all of her life, also working several jobs, most recently at Thomsen’s Green House. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Jeanette loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening (both vegetables and flowers), reading, playing Bingo, and trips to the casino.

She is survived by her sons, Harvey (Wilma), Joe (Jan), Terry and Mark of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Peter Reber, Amy (Matt) Hansen, Megan and Melanie Reber; and great grandchildren, Gage, Logan, and Taiya Hansen, and Carlee Reber; daughter in law, Arlene, Anchorage, Alaska; sister and brother, Joyce Hanuska and Carol Martini.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Carl in 1998; son Tim, 2012; and nine brothers and sisters.

A Special Thank You to the Nursing Staff of the St. Cloud Hospital ICU and St. Croix Hospice for all the care given to Jeanette.
