Funeral Services will be at 1 pm, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Peace United Church, Long Prairie, for Jeanette F. Pilantz, age 74, of Browerville, who passed away Thursday at Lakewood Health Systems – Staples. Rev. Daniel Foster will officiate and burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Annandale. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home – Stein Chapel, Long Prairie.

Jeanette Frances Gille was born May 17, 1941 in Annandale, Minnesota, the daughter of William H. and Frances Marie (Warner) Gille. She was delivered by her grandmother who was a mid-wife at the time. She grew up there and graduated from Annandale High School in 1959. She then attended St. Cloud State Univerisity. She was employed at Zapps Bank in St. Cloud and helped on the farm near Clearwater. She later moved to Cocoran, and worked at Bremer Bank in Plymouth. She later cared for her mother. Jeanette moved to Browerville in 2002 to live with her sister when her health started to deteriorate.
Jeanette was a member of Peace United Church and it’s Women’s Group in Long Prairie. She was also President of the St. Cloud Professional Women’s Association. She was an excellent cook, and liked to try new recipes out on her family. She made many cookies and wedding cakes. She enjoyed traveling, painting with watercolors, shopping, and helping with the flower beds. Jeanette’s greatest joy was to learn new things.

Jeanette is survived by her sister, Ruth Ann (Ralph) Smith, Browerville; nieces and nephew, Heather (David) Rosenberg, Wheaton; Beth Ann Smith, St. Anthony Village; Katherine (Luke) Katterhagen, Sauk Rapids; Jennifer (Ethan) Hanes, Verndale; and Cody R. Smith, Wadena; grand nieces and nephews, Andrew Rosenberg, Alex Rosenberg, Kylie Katterhagen, Nicole Katterhagen, and Mitchell Katterhagen and great-great grand niece, Aurora Rosenberg.
