Celebration of Life will be at 6PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud for Jean M. Braun, age 78, of St. Cloud who passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on October 12, 2017. Pamela Nickel, Heartland Hospice Pastor, will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-6PM on Tuesday at the Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Jean was born February 16, 1939 in St. Cloud to Walter and Lucille (Reynolds) Stearns. She married Ralph Braun on October 31, 1966 in St. Cloud. Jean managed the Housewares department at Herberger’s until her retirement. She enjoyed holiday’s; especially Christmas which brought everyone together as a family. She also enjoyed trips to the casino. Jean boasted about her grandchildren and was always a proud sassy grandma, who made the best Chocolate Chip Cookies. She never passed judgement and would do anything for anyone in need. Jean will be remembered as giving, strong, feisty and beautiful inside and out. Above all else she loved her family beyond words and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Rich Krey) Orth of Maplewood, Gail (Paul) Donovan of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Donna (Brian) Elliason, Bri Orth, Derek Orth, Brandon Donovan; great grandchildren, Everett, Grady, and Addie Elliason; loving partner, Frank Gruska of St. Cloud; siblings, William (Irene) Stearns of MD, and Mary Lou (Jim) Maciey of Bemidji.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Braun; and brother, Walter “Butch” Stearns.

Memorials are preferred to Heartland Hospice or donor’s choice.
