Jane M. Riedl, 80, of Princeton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Sterling Pointe in Princeton.

Jane was born January 7, 1935 in Muskegon, MI, the daughter of Carl and Sarah (Salathe) Madsen. She was raised in Muskegon until her family moved to Hopkins; she graduated from Hopkins High School. Following graduation she was united in marriage to Marvin Riedl. The couple started their family in Eden Prairie. In 1964 they moved to Blue Hill Township and brought along some of the “Blue Hill Gang” to the area. Jane retired from Crystal Cabinets. Jane was proud of her Danish heritage, Crystal Cabinets even paid for her to go on a trip to Denmark. She also traveled to many states during her lifetime. Jane enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting and reading. She also had creative talents in art, painting and drawing. She was devoted to her family, her grandchildren were very important to her. She will be remembered for her quick wit and one liners, and will be dearly missed.

Jane is survived her children, Deborah Madsen, Charles (Margaret) Riedl, Carol (Greg) Hanson and Allen (Meri) Riedl; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Linda (Jim) Myckleby, John Frederick and Rex Frederick.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin; her parents Carl and Sarah; and her brother Richard Madsen.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Princeton. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Blue Mound Cemetery in Blue Hill Township.
