James W. Sova, 65, St. Cloud

June 26, 1950 - March 12, 2016

Funeral services will be at 2PM Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, St. Cloud for James W. Sova, age 65 of St. Cloud who passed away peacefully on Saturday. Rev. Bruce Timm will officiate and burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 12-2PM at the church on Thursday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

James was born June 26, 1950 in Ely to Walter and Loretta (Kutzorik) Sova. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he was a member of the military police. James married Shirley Waltzing on May 8, 1971 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. He was employed as a journeyman lineman. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Waite Park American Legion Post #428 and St. Cloud Eagles Aries #622. He enjoyed all kinds of shooting and was always willing to pass his knowledge on to others. He was a private pilot and owned two airplanes throughout the years. He enjoyed classic cars, muscle cars, deer hunting, grouse hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; his son, Clint (Lindsey) of Ortonville, MN; granddaughter, Molly; sister, Carol Sova of Sauk Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his son, Craig and his parents.
