James “Jim” Vincent Amberg, 78, Cold Spring

December 12, 1935 - November 3, 2014

James Vincent Amberg age 78 of Cold Spring MN. Born on December, 12, 1935 in Bird Island MN to Ignatius and Florence (Weis) Amberg passed away on 11-3-2014 at Assumption Home.

Jim served in the military for 2 years and then started his career as a sales representative for ABS Global, and upon his retirement was inducted into the ABS Global Hall of Fame. He loved spending time with his family, gardening and was an animal lover.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Ignatius, Florence and his sister Charlotte and son-in-law Kaj Kline. He will be dearly missed by his wife Marlys and his children, Jay Fischer (Dawn), Julie Geddes (Mike), Jeff Fischer (Lisa) Joy Thelen (James), Janine Kline, Michael Amberg (Lisa), Brian Amberg and his 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 7th at 11am at Peace Lutheran Church in Cold Spring MN, Private burial.

Arrangements are with Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring, MN.
