James “Jim” Patrick Shekleton, 52, Cold Spring

October 23, 1963 - March 14, 2016

James “Jim” Patrick Shekleton, age 52 of Cold Spring, MN, died Monday, March 14, 2016 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. A private family service will be held.

Jim was born October 23, 1963 in Benson, MN to Laurence “Larry” and Mary S. (Dahl) Shekleton. He married JoAnn Roerig on July 18, 2015 in Garrison, MN. Jim’s career and life long passion was as a 33 year over the road trucker. Jim was a grill master, enjoyed the camper in Garrison, classic country and classic rock music, singing karaoke, and spending time with family, friends and his pup, Diesel. He was very patriotic and loved his country.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Roerig of Cold Spring, MN; mother, Mary Holycross of Waite Park, MN; stepchildren, Emily and Amanda Williams and Joshua and Jake Roerig; sisters, Deb (Kelly) Henry of St. Augusta, MN; Sandy (Larry) Bloch of Sartell, MN; one grandson, William; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
