James “Jim” Edward Rosen, age 76, of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Princeton Elim Home.

Jim was born October 5, 1939 in Princeton, the son of Edward and Lela (Severson) Rosen. He grew up in Princeton and graduated from Princeton High School. Jim was in the U.S. Navy Reserve and following graduation entered into active duty. He married Janice Backlund on December 13, 1958 in Iowa. The two spent their early years between Princeton and Sanford, Florida where he was based in the military. The couple currently resided in Princeton where Jim was a member of the American Legion and Trinity Lutheran Church. Jim worked in carpentry for various contractors in the Princeton area. He also worked at Crystal Cabinets and TCI in Rogers. He also enjoyed driving school bus for the Princeton School District. In his spare time Jim kept busy doing different woodworking projects in his home and garage and built various custom cabinets for people. He loved to dance, golf, bowl, fish, and camp and spend time outdoors. Above all else, his family was the most important to him. He will be dearly missed.

Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years Jan; children Richard (Cindy) Rosen of Phoenix, AZ and Lynn (Brandy) Rosen of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Joe (Deej) Rosen of Olympia, WA, Chad Ryall of Princeton and Jamie Rosen of Phoenix, AZ; great grandchildren, Mila Rosen, Lillian “Lily” Rose Berg and one on the way; siblings, Larry (Vonda) Rosen, Kathy (Rob) Lenz, Diane Bost, Chuck Rosen and brother in-law George Hulett; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister LaDonna Hulett; sister in-law, Cindy Rosen and his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1PM, Friday, November 6, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Princeton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Princeton.
