J. C. Penny Bringing Appliances Back To Showroom Floor

ST. CLOUD - While you're shopping for some new fall clothes at J.C. Penny, you can also pick out some new appliances. Starting tomorrow (Friday), J.C. Penny in St. Cloud - and five other Minnesota stores - will relaunch an appliance line.

St. Cloud store manager John VanBoening says the appliances will take up a small section of their overall footprint.

It's a little over 2,000 square feet, so probably about 10 percent of the department store space. We've got it narrowed because we were doing some beta testing in some other markets.

He says they'll relaunch their appliance line tomorrow (Friday).

Washers and dryers, refrigerators, oven stove tops, dishwashers, microwaves, and oven hoods.  Very excited about getting back into this. For those of you that remember J.C. Penny from a lot of years ago this is not new.

VanBoening says brands include LG, Samsung, and General Electric.

VanBoening says J.C. Penny is offering no-interest financing, free delivery, and price-match guarantees.

Besides the St. Cloud store, the J.C. Penny's in Burnsville, Coon Rapids, Minnetonka, and Rochester will be selling appliances.
