ST. CLOUD - An Irish Pub is coming to downtown St. Cloud. Work is underway right now for the "Olde Brick House" going into the former "Rum Runners" building at 102 Sixth Avenue South.

Co-owner Steve Letnes says pretty much everything the customers see will be coming direct from Ireland.

All the floors whether they're tile or wood, ceilings, all the light fixtures, all the doors, all the furniture and the booths, tables and bars, all the decor of course, and all the outside woodwork.

Letnes says a crew will be coming from Dublin, Ireland in late November to put it all together.  He says they took a trip to Ireland in May to do research.

We kind of looked for names and a lot of the pubs are named after the family that owns it or runs it. But we just decided that there's a lot of brick and we're going to keep the brick and that would be a good fit.

The bar and restaurant will be on both floors of the building, with some meeting space on the second floor.

The "Olde Brick House" is scheduled to be open by late December.

The building was built around 1890.

The former Rum Runners building has sat empty since the summer of 2013. Letnes and his business partner Pete Poepping bought the building about a year ago.

Letnes, Poepping, and a third partner also own 7 West Taphouse in downtown St. Cloud.
