Irene E. Laudenbach, 78, Sauk Rapids

April 7, 1937 - December 25, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids for Irene E. Laudenbach, 78, of Sauk Rapids who passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 25, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Rev. Ralph Zimmerman will officiate and entombment will be in Assumption Mausoleum, St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 4-8PM on Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Christian Mothers “St. Monica’s Society” will pray at 5PM, followed by parish prayers at 7:30PM at the funeral home on Monday.

Irene was born in St. Augusta on April 7, 1937 to John and Adeline (Beumer) Koshiol. She married the love of her life, August Laudenbach, on October 25, 1955 at St. Mary’s Help of Christians in St. Augusta. Irene felt it was important to stay home and care for the couple’s six children. When the youngest child was in elementary school; Irene began her second career in food service for the St. Cloud School District until her retirement in 2010. Irene walked strongly in her faith; she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Christian Women, and Daughters of Isabella. Most importantly, family meant the world to Irene and she will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, August of Sauk Rapids; children, Nancy (Paul) Kerestes of Hastings, Rebecca (Ken) Daugs of Chisago, James (Kari) Laudenbach of Rice, Lisa (Bill) Johansson of St. Cloud, Dana (Dale Jacobson) Laudenbach of Melrose, Maria (David Lloyd) Wintheiser of St. Augusta; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and greatly anticipated the birth of her 15th great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Della (Bill) Lansing; sister-in-law, Barb Koshiol; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hattie Laudenbach, Theresa Schmidt, Rose Laudenbach, Margaret (Pete) Fleck, Shirley Hohnstadt, Lucy Laudenbach, Andy Bechtold, Ernie (Arlene) Laudenbach, Lenny (Marge) Laudenbach, Rosie (Dick) Taufen, Rich Witte, Mike (Irene) Laudenbach, Dan (Sue) Laudenbach, Toni (Ron) Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leo Koshiol; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerry Laudenbach, June (Gilbert) Schmidt, Earl Laudenbach, Bill Laudenbach, Bernie Laudenbach, Bernadette Bechtold, and Ceil Witte.
