Irene Dwyer, 85, St. Joseph

June 22, 1931 - January 27, 2017

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m, Monday, January 30, 2017 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Irene Dwyer, age 85, who died Friday at Cherrywood Advanced Living of Richmond. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sauk Rapids.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond and from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., Monday morning at the funeral home. Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. Arrangements are with Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond.

Irene was born in St. Joseph, MN to Aloys and Theresia (Koltes) Bechtold. She married Francis Dwyer on November 11, 1952 in St. Joseph, MN. Irene enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, fishing and playing cards. She loved to cook, bake and dance. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Michael, Susan (Rusty) Williamson, Gary; siblings, Lucy, Dorothy, Frances (Phil) Goerger, Theresia, Andy, Tony (Marilyn), Raymond (Bobbi), Monica (Marvin) Stanger; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; siblings, Al Jr. “Weasy”, Katherine; in-laws, Bill Shulte, Bernice Laudenbach and Bernadette Bechtold.
