ST. CLOUD -- A former St. Cloud business owner has been convicted of 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct for having a child with a 15-year-old girl.

Forty-six-year-old Andrew Frederick had a trial by judge last week. The Stearns County Attorney's Office says today (Monday), Judge Vicki Landwehr issued her written ruling convicting Frederick of fathering the child.

Police learned of the child and of the relationship when they raided The iPod Guy store in downtown St. Cloud in 2013. The girl admitted the child was hers and DNA tests showed Frederick was the father.

Court records show police confiscated prescription pain killers after an undercover officer bought them from Frederick on two occasions.

A trial last December ended with a jury convicting Frederick of selling drugs out of the store. He is scheduled to stand trial Wednesday on another felony drug charge stemming from the raid.

Frederick will be sentenced when all of the charges against him have been resolved.
