KIMBALL - Thousands of people are getting ready to slide, hop, and bounce their way through a 5K obstacle course. The "Insane Inflatables" 5K is tomorrow (Saturday) at Powder Ridge in Kimball.

Event Director Kane Rowell says the course will be fun for the participants.

We've got 11 of the biggest bounciest inflatables you've ever seen, that's just a complete blast. You can get out and jump around on them, you can flip over them, slide down them. However you want to do it, it's all about style, it's not about competition. We don't time the race so you can walk, you can run, you can jog. Whatever you want to do it's all about having a good time.

Rowell says they're expecting between 3,100 and 3,200 people to run through the course.  He says it will be a party atmosphere for the over 5,000 participants and spectators.

We're going to have food and beverages, we're going to have beer, we're going to have vendors set up, we'll have our sports center and our junior bounce house. We'll be set up in the midway area, which is kind of where our festival area is. So, once you get out there and get checked in you'll have the time to grab a drink, grab a beer, have fun with your family and friends until you're ready to run.

The first wave takes off at 8:45 a.m., and the last wave is at 1:00 p.m. Rowell says you can register the day of the event.
