Input Sessions Schedule As Search for New Dist. 742 Superintendent Begins

ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud area school officials are looking for some feedback, as they begin the search for the district's next superintendent.  Two Community Input Sessions are scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday).  At 10:00 a.m. at the Whitney Senior Center, and at 7:00 p.m. at the Apollo High School Resource Center.

The position will be advertised through February 12th.  The board will interview five or six recommended candidates on February 20th and 21st, then narrow the field to two or three.  The next round of interviews will start on February 25th.  The district has hired the superintendent search firm School Exec Connect to lead the search.

Current Superintendent Bruce Watkins will retire at the end of June.  Watkins was with the district from 2004 through 2008, he then came out of retirement in 2010 and has been with the district since then.
