Indiana Man Leads St. Cloud Police on Short Chase
ST. CLOUD - An Indiana man has been arrested after a short police chase.
St. Cloud police say the incident happened just after 12:30 a.m. on Friday near 10th Avenue and Highway 23.
Officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver then took off and led police on a chase that lasted only .2 miles. The driver then jumped out of the vehicle and tried to run.
Police arrested 23-year-old Armani Handy. He's being held in Stearns County Jail and is expected to face charges of fleeing police. He was also allegedly in possession of stolen property, a controlled substance, and did not have a valid driver's license.
