Immersion Program Discussed by School Board [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD- The St. Cloud Area School District discussed its language immersion program today.

For over five years Madison Elementary has offered a Chinese language classroom, and Clearwater Elementary has had a Spanish language classroom.

Assistant Superintendent Diane Moeller, talked about the program, and how these students would have half of their schedules taught in their immersion language now that they're in middle school.

In a language immersion program subjects are completely taught in that language. Officials say the programs have been used to attract new students into the district.
