Ila R. Stepaniak, 69, St. Cloud

April 3, 1947 - August 28, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Ila R. Stepaniak, age 69 of St. Cloud who passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Ila was born April 3, 1947 in Long Prairie, Minnesota to Lawrence and Lillian (Hineline) Terwilliger. She married William A. Stepaniak on August 16, 1969 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Browerville. Ila was member of the Waite Park American Legion Auxiliary Unit #428 and St. Anthony’s Parish.

Ila enjoyed baking, crafts and camping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Ila is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Carrie of St. Cloud, Thomas (Andrea) of Spring Lake Park, Bonita (Pieter) Van Wyk of Medina and Jessica of St. Cloud; six grandchildren, Carlie, Kiana, Shayna, Alexandra, Ryan and Cordell; brothers, John of Melrose and Glen of Padua; and sister, Karin Wessel of Sauk Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
