Icy Stretch on Interstate 94 Near Sauk Centre Causes a Pair of Crashes
SAUK CENTRE - A slick spot on Interstate 94 in Todd County causes two vehicles to lose control. The State Patrol says the incident started just before 2:00 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning.
Twenty-eight-year-old Abdirahman Warsame of Minneapolis was driving west in a van in the right lane when he hit a patch of ice and went into the median and hit the cable barrier.
While waiting for the tow truck to arrive, a second vehicle, an SUV driven by 22-year-old Michael Huss of Alexandria hit the same patch of ice an lost control. The SUV went into the ditch and hit the van.
Warsame has non life-threatening injuries. Huss, and his passenger 19-year-old Cami Warren of Eagle Bend, were not hurt.
