BARNESVILLE  (AP) - The Minnesota State Patrol temporarily closed the interstate in northwestern Minnesota Wednesday morning after at least four semis slid on the icy road and blocked traffic.

Patrol Sgt. Jess Grabow says freezing rain fell, causing several semis to jackknife and two to collide near Barnesville in Clay County about 8:30 a.m. Numerous vehicles also slid off Interstate 94. Grabow says at least 100
motorists were temporarily stranded by the interstate closure.

The patrol reopened the interstate about 10 a.m.
