ROCHESTER  (AP) -- Her name is Mira. And, IBM says she may be the most powerful computer in the world.

IBM is expected to announce Tuesday that it's received a contract from the Department of Energy to build Mira at its facility in Rochester. The company says the supercomputer will produce more than 10 quadrillion calculations per second. Once the $50 million supercomputer is produced, it will design advanced electric car batteries and other practical tasks.

Mira will have 786,000 individual processing units.
