Hutchinson Police Shoot, Wound Man
HUTCHINSON, Minn. (AP) - Hutchinson police have shot and wounded a man after a confrontation at an apartment building.
Police were called about 8 a.m. Friday on a report of a suspicious man sleeping in the entryway of Fairlane Apartments.
When police arrived, there was a brief confrontation and shots were fired. Hutchinson Police Chief Daniel Hatten says the man was wounded, given immediate medical treatment and taken to a Hutchinson hospital.
Reports say the man was later transported to HCMC in Minneapolis, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
