Husky Hockey In Pursuit Of WCHA Crown [AUDIO]

The St. Cloud State Huskies are in pursuit of their first-ever McNaughton Cup this weekend in Madison.

The Huskies currently hold a two point lead over Minnesota and North Dakota and have a four point edge over Minnesota State and Wisconsin.

SCSU head coach says that while the team doesn't set a goal at the beginning of the season for a regular season title, now that they are close it's something they would love to have.

Motzko adds that the Huskies will need to play stout defense and capitalize on special teams opportunities if they want to take down the Badgers this weekend.

Minnesota is at lowly Bemidji State this weekend, and North Dakota is at Minnesota State.

Friday's Gopher game against the Beavers can be heard on WJON beginning at 7 PM.
