Husky Football Upsets MSU Mankato 54-48, Advance to Third Round of Playoffs

MANKATO - The St. Cloud State Huskies downed Minnesota State University Mankato 54-48 in the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs this afternoon.

The Huskies advance to take on Northwest Missouri State next Saturday.

Phillip Klaphake had an incredible game, finishing 17/26 for 329 yards and four touchdowns passing, and running for an additional 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Wide receiver Taylor Berger made six catches for 149 yards and a touchdown for the Huskies. Dan Brown added three receptions for 114 yards and two touchdowns for St. Cloud.
