ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud State Huskies defeated the #5/6 Miami University (OH) RedHawks 3-1 on Friday night.

The RedHawks had been riding a three-game winning streak, and they looked to be on their way to a fourth consecutive victory early as they held a 1-0 lead in the second period.

A power play goal by the Huskies' David Morley tied the game at 1-1 later in the middle period.

Joe Rehkamp gave the Huskies a 2-1 lead early in the third period and Morley scored again in the final minutes to put an emphatic end to a huge victory.

SCSU goalie Charlie Lindgren played one of his best games of the season, notching 37 saves and stifling a Miami team that had averaged three goals per game during their winning streak.

With the win, the Huskies improve to 8-10-1 on the season and will look to edge closer to .500 in tonight's rematch with the RedHawks.
