Husband Jailed After Eden Prairie Woman Dies in Stabbing

EDEN PRAIRIE -- Police say a 23-year-old Eden Prairie woman died after she was stabbed multiple times during a domestic incident.

Lt. Greg Weber of the Eden Prairie Police Department says her 30-year-old husband fled the scene with two children. After a metro area-wide manhunt, he turned himself into St. Paul police about 1 p.m. Weber says the man was awaiting trial for a previous domestic assault.

The incident was reported at 10:30 a.m. The woman, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Weber says the children - a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl - are staying with relatives.
