ST. JOSEPH -- Hundreds of people made their way out to St. Joseph this weekend for the St. Cloud Heritage Quilters' Show.

The weekend featured about 500 quilts on display, over 20 vendors, raffle prizes and giveaways at the Haehn Center on the campus of The College of St. Benedict.

"We had a good turnout," says Marjorie LaTour, who organized the event. "The really avid quilters are here and they dragged their husbands along in most cases."

LaTour says a lot of work goes into planning the event -- which is held every two years -- but she says it's always a lot of fun.

"My favorite part is bringing the whole thing together," LaTour says. "I had a wonderful group of volunteers on the committee -- some I knew already, some I hadn't met yet -- but we worked like a well-oiled machine, it was a lot of fun."
