ST. CLOUD - Around 400 people are expected at the Rivers Edge Convention Center on Thursday for the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation 2015 St. Cloud Innovation Summit.

Sonja Gidlow is the director of communications with the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation, she says the summit is a great way for companies to share their innovations with the community.

"We define innovation broadly to include anything, whether it be a widget or process that improves the work that's being done, it creates efficiency and productivity."

The event starts with the innovation expo (7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.) and continues until 1:00 p.m. There will be nine presentations on innovations taking place locally, live improv by the Theatre of Public Policy and innovation award presentations.

"We really want to recognize innovation going on in our community, so we'll be giving out four awards," Gidlow says.

The summit is free to attend but registration is required. You can click here to do so.
