MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A political cartoon exhibit tracing the career of the late Hubert Humphrey opens Tuesday in downtown Minneapolis.

The monthlong exhibit is called "A Political Life in Pen and Ink: Scott Long's Hubert Humphrey." It features a series of drawings by longtime Minneapolis Tribune cartoonist Scott Long depicting Humphrey as he moved on from mayor of Minneapolis to the U.S. Senate and then to the vice presidency.

The display is located in the Minneapolis City Hall/Hennepin County Courthouse Rotunda. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of Humphrey's birth on May 27.

The Hennepin History Museum is sponsoring the exhibit in collaboration with the Municipal Building Commission. It's free and open to the public.
