MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A smoky fire at a grocery and deli store in south Minneapolis has interrupted some services at neighboring Children's Hospital.

Fire broke out at the Chicago Avenue Food and Deli about 3 a.m. Thursday. Fire officials say the hospital was forced to close its intake and ventilation system because of the wafting smoke.

Children's temporarily closed its outpatient clinics and delayed elective surgery, radiology and lab services. Hospital spokesman Justin Theodotou says no patients or staff were harmed.
